Hi there! I have been doodling and drawing all my life. I found my way over to paint in college and professionally I come from the world of theater and set design. My work in watercolor and gouache is influenced by the rendering techniques of that field, but I also love to play with the media.
I draw a lot of inspiration from text; another cross-over from the theater. I am an avid audiobook and podcast listener as well as a reader and like to let those mediums needle their way into my imagination to spur creativity and act as prompts for sketches and concepts.
I love to use reclaimed materials and frames for my pieces whenever possible. I’m constantly in awe and inspired by nature, particularly forests.
